League
MVP Award
The League MVP Award was
the second Most Valuable Player Award. The American League did not allow one
player to win twice; the National League limited who could be selected
by only placing one player from each team on the ballot giving writers
eight players to select from. No National League players were selected
in 1922 or 1923 because of the unusual format.
